Temple Grandin

After watching the movie Temple Grandin I hope that you have a better understanding of Autism and also Savant Syndrome. What I would like you to do is draw specific examples from the movie to show how Temple's autism affected her.....
  1. Senses
  2. Thinking
  3. Relationships
  4. Physical Interactions
  5. Parents (Specifically her mom)
Please make sure you give specific examples and write in complete well thought out sentences.

  1. Temple Grandin is an Autistic Savant, who is about to go off to college. Fifty percent of savants have autism. Temple doesn’t like change, she freaks out like many people with autism. Savant’s syndrome is a special gift where a person has a specialized talent that exceeds the ability of what is considered normal. Temple Grandin can memorize things by just looking at them. When she is reminded of a door, she can go through in her mind every door she has seen in her entire life. When she was in French class, she merely glanced at the passage then could recite it verbatim. The autism made it hard for Temple and her mother to have a close relationship. Although, most of these attributes sound appealing, the struggles she faces daily are things most people don’t even think twice about. She didn’t start speaking until the age of four. Her social interaction was off. She did not know what was socially acceptable to say, or people’s expressions. She introduced herself with the same phrase to everyone. She didn’t know how to read expressions when people were mad, happy, angry, or sad. Most of the time she spoke her mind without a real filter, some people could follow her trains of thought. She thought differently than most do, she had a special outlook on life. When she drew the blueprints of the bathing contraption for cows, she could go through every little detail specifically in her mind and figure out if the scenario would work. This saved over half a million dollars annually for slaughter houses. She only put her attention into things that appeal to her, like science. Temple never hugged anyone nor did she accept any. It was not until her favor teacher/mentor passed away until she allowed her mother to hug her. Most of her senses were in overdrive, she oversensitive to sound, sight, and touch. She became nervous when everyone at once was talking; she was unable to tune out simple things like a fan making noises from rotating, clocks ticking, and clicking pens.

  2. Temple Grandin has autism and she also is a savant. Her senses are about 10 times stronger than any normal person and is not able to keep her focus. For example, she would not be able to block out the sounds that a fan would make or listen to people talk to her if cattle were mooing. Another one of her special characteristics was her photographic memory. She would be able to briefly look at something and capture that image in her head. Every image that she has ever captured she still remembers. It was hard for Temple to have close relationships with other people. She hardly had any friends and wasn’t that close with her mother. It was hard for her to grasp and understand the meaning of facial expressions and didn’t really know what to say to people half the time. Her brain processed without a filter so she would say something without thinking twice about it. She felt uncomfortable if people tried to touch her so she wouldn’t let them. As far her mother goes, there was only once in the movie that she would let her mother touch her and that was after her professor had died. Temple had conquered one of her symptoms as an autistic savant.

  3. Temple Grandin shows her Autism and Savant Syndrome in many ways, such as, her senses, thinking, relationships, physical interactions, and the way she is with her mom.Through her senses she shows autism because she is sensitive to sounds, for example, when she first went to the farm in the summer she could distinguish the fan and other sounds that most people wouldn't notice. Through her thinking she demonstrates Savant Syndrome because of her outstanding amount of knowledge in sciences. Also, her ability to memorize pages instantly, for example, when she memorized the french page by just looking at it, and sees things through numbers and pictures. Through her relationships she shows her autism because she is socially awkward. She isn't able to keep conversations going easily and gets nervous when in front of a lot of people, and finds it complicated to handle a lot of pressue. What mainly effects her relationships is her physical interactions. She isn't able to keep eye contact and wasn't much of a hugger, unless it was her machine, of course. She also wasn't really able to distinguish different facial expressions to define how someone is feeling. Her autism was also expressed in the way she was with her mom. She wasn't very open with her and didn't show her much affection because she lacked the ability to express herself and show how she felt. Overall, her mother didn't really know how to deal with it, but her mother's continuous efforts to push Temple into trying to do normal things, such as, school, college, speaking, etc, helped Temple accomplish things which made her all the more thankful for her mther.

  4. Temple Grandin was a very good movie and helped me to better understand autism and savant people. Temple had a whole different way of thinking and acting because of her autism . Her senses where much stronger and she couldn't focuse if a lot was going on around her like ceiling fans, cattle or even people clicking their pens. For example, if something like that did happen she would freak out and find way to calm herself down which is called self-stimulation. One of the ways was her "squeeze machine" she rembered seeing the cattle be put in this contraption that calmed them down . So she also found comfort in that because it was like the hug but with out the physicl contact. When Temple saw stuff she saw every dimension and how the item worked. She also, had photographic memory and could look at something and remeber it and never forget it. People with autism and savant are socially awkward. Temple really didn't have a relationship with anyone except her cattle. Her mother and her really didnt have a relationship because hugging and physical touch was something temple reallly did not like! and Temple didnt know how to show how she felt.

  5. In the movie Temple Grandin, Temple's autism affected her daily life. Temple was very sensitive to light, sound and, touch. The normal sound of a fan to us wouldn't bother us as much as it would've bothered Temple. The noise would've been amplified to her making it hard for her to concentrate on anything other than the noise of the fan. She was also very sensitive to touch by other people. Temple did not give hugs or want to be hugged. The sensation of being hugged by another human being bothered her very much. It was frustrating for her mother because she could never comfort her like she wanted to. For most parents when there child is upset or scared their first instinct it to hug their child and comfort them, but Temples mother was unable to give her that affection due to Temples autism. 50% of people with autism also have savant syndrome as did Temple. She was brilliant when it came to solving complex problems that other people would have trouble with. She was able to think and see things much differently than a person with normal capabilities. When temple interacted with other people she wasn't able to communicate effectively. She often talked very loudly without even realizing it. After watching the movie it allowed me to view autism in a totally different light.

  6. Temple’s autism affected her senses because she was super sensitive to any noise. If people were all talking at one time it stressed her out and she would panic. Her thinking was affected because she could see pictures clearly in her mind and run through her ideas without actually having to test them out. She didn’t have very close relationships with people and couldn’t understand people the way we do. She did not like parties and thought people didn’t understand her. Physically, she was awkward when interacting with other people. She would shake hands quickly and not make eye contact. She did not like people touching her and was uncomfortable at first letting her blind friend take her arm. Temple’s relationship with her mother was strenuous because it was hard for them to connect. Temple didn’t like to hug her mother and at first did not like all of the things that she made her do. In the end she realized she wouldn’t be where she was today if her mother and aunt had not pushed her and believed that she could achieve her goals.

  8. The movies shows Temple Grandin’s life in a way that people who don’t have autism would understand what it is. You can tell she has autism by her sense, way of thinking, relationships, physical interactions, and the way she treats her mother. Temple’s senses are different from ours. She is extremely sensitive to sounds, she hears every little noise that we would usually not pay attention to. when she arrived to the farm and was shown to her room, she heard every little noise, down to the moving of the fan. Her thinking is that of a savant, she sees everything to the exact measurement that it is. She can also memorize something perfectly. She takes a mental picture of it and then can remember what she saw. When she was trying to get the blue prints for the cattle wash thing draw, she memorized every step the guy did then went and did it herself. Her relationships and physical interactions kind of go together, because she was not socializing with people, she didn’t have good relationships with people. When she was little she never hugged her mother. The movie shows her only showing emotions towards her mother once. Temple learned to cope with her autism and went off to college and graduated. She designed many things for cattle to make them more humane. she reached many goals that people thought she would never reach!

  9. Temple Grandin was diagnosed with autism when she was four years old and who also has savant syndrome. Temple is very sensitive to any noise. She hears things that ordinary would tune out or pay no attention to. Like when she was at her aunts house and all she could hear was the fish tank or the fan motor in her room. Also, when something becomes too loud, she gets very stressed and will start to panic. Temple's mind can see how things work thousands of times and knows what works and what doesn't work. When she saw the architect drawing, she saw what he did and was able to make her own sketch and know that it would work without a problem. Temple has a hard time making relationships with people because she doesn't get social queues, but when she does they are very meaningful. For instance, her science teacher and her got along very well. He pushed her, and she enjoyed the challenge and they became friends. Temple doesn't like people touching her and it makes her very uncomfortable. She did make baby steps in the movie, like when she let her blind friend take her arm and when she let her mom hug her. Temple's mom and her have had a bumpy relationship but it was always filled with love. Her mom always pushed her with making her go to school and making her go to some parties. Her mom always wanted to best for Temple and never gave up. At Temple's graduation, Temple's mom was overcome with emotion when she said she wouldn't be able to do anything without her mom's help.

  10. Temple Grandin shows her Autism and Savant Syndrome in many ways, such as, her senses, thinking, relationships, physical interactions, and the way she is with her parent(mom/aunt). Savant Syndrome is a rare, but spectacular, condition in which persons with various developmental disorders, including autistic disorder, have astonishing abilities, brilliance or talents. Temple’s senses are extremely different from ours. She is extremely sensitive to sounds. She hears every little noise. When she arrived to the farm ranch she heard the mooing of hte cow's extremely louder than the rest. She thought differently than most people do, she had a special outlook on life. She only put her attention into things that appeal to her, like science and math. When she drew the blueprints of the bathing contraption for cows, she could go through every detail in her mind and figure out if the contraption would work. This saved over half a million dollars annually for the slaughter houses. She can also memorize something perfectly. She takes a mental picture of it and can remember what she saw. She didn’t have very close relationships with people and couldn’t understand people the way we do. She didnt like being in new enviroments because she doesn't feel secure. What mainly effects her relationships is her physical interactions. She isn't able to keep eye contact and wasn't a hugger, unless it was her machine. She also wasn't really able to distinguish different facial expressions to define how someone is feeling. She had a daily struggle trying to make connections. Temple’s relationship with her mother was sad because it was hard for them to connect. Temple didn’t like to hug her mother and at first did not like all of the things that she made her do. In the end she realized she wouldn’t be where she was today if her mother and aunt had not pushed her and believed that she could achieve her goals. Watching this movie allowed me to know and understand autism completely different because I thought that those people with autism were like retarded but not any more.

  11. The movie shows how Temple Gardin struggled and overcame her autism by using her savant syndrome to help her do it. It was obvious Temple Gardin had autism by observing her senses, her way of thinking, her relationships, her physical interactions, and by the way she treats her mother. Regarding Temple’s senses, unlike people without autism, she was very sensitive to light but mainly sensitive to sounds. Examples are when she could hear the van blades spinning and when she could hear the fish tank aquarium bubbling. Temple’s thinking is mainly affected by her savant syndrome. Instead of just thinking through problems she mentally sees the calculations and equations when confronted with a problem like when she was fixing the farm gate at her aunt’s house. She also has the ability to memorize whatever she sees. For example when she was in French class she simply looked at the page and took a photographic image and permanently memorized it. As for her relationships and physical interactions, this is where her autism was most noticeable. All throughout most the movie she avoided people and made only about 2 friends in the movie. One being her teacher who saw the greatest potential she had and the other was her blind roommate who treated her like she wasn’t a freak. This also affected her physical relationship with her mother. Since she was autistic she hated to be touch or help so her mother never got to hold her until the funeral of her boarding school teacher when her mother finally got to hug her daughter for the first time. This movie really put the disorder of autism into perspective for me, and I now know how hard it is for those who have autism and for those around them.

  12. Temple Grandin is autistic and has savant syndrome. You can notice that she is autistic and has savant syndrome through her senses, thinking, relationships, physical reactions and her relationship with her mother. In the movie you notice very quickly that she is very sensitive. She does not like loud noises and light. In the movie she would pick up on things like the fish tank noises or the fan spinning around, people who are not autistic never really pay attention to that but for her every noise is like 10 times louder then it actually is. With her savant syndrome her thinking is very different compared to someone without it. She sees everything in detail. Like when looking at a moving fence she sees all the mathematics behind it to make it move while we would just see a fence opening and closing. She also has photographic memory and can remember anything She would look at her french book for 5 seconds and would be able to recite everything word for word. With having autism she did not have relationships with people like you or I do because she was socially "awkward" so to speak. She would speak her mind and could not recognize emotion which made it hard to develop relationships. She did become good friends with her roommate and one of her teachers at boarding school who saw her as a great human being and student. Temple did not like physical iteration and hated when people would even touch her. It took till the end of the movie for her to give her first ever hug to her mom and her professors funeral. Temples relationship with her mom is what helped her get to where she is today, Her mom pushed her to be the best that she can be and had her step out of her comfort zone and this helped Temple be more confident in the fact that she was autistic. This movie helped me get a whole new perspective on autism and more respect for those who have it

  13. Temple Grandin is an autistic savant, you can see that in many ways such as through her Senses, her relationships, the way she thinks, the way she physically Interacts with people, especially her mother. The way her senses work has to do with the way she reacts to things that are so simple and irrelevant to us, really stand out to her. In the movie she didnt like alot of people talking at once to her, loud noises, when she walked in the room she noticed the fan making a noise. The way she physically interacts with people really does show her autism, like how she doesnt really like being touched, or doesnt make eye contact. The way she thinks is really amazing and savants can be something truely outstanding, when she looks at objects she sees the measurements and can calculate things or memorize whatever she sees, like a photogenic memory (like she memorized the french). I dont think she really has relationships with people besides knowing who they are torwards each other. She knew who her mom was and who her professor was but when he died she just said goodbye and wasnt really feeling any pain, mourning, or sorrow. Temple saw the cattle in a panic and saw the cows go into a squeeze machine and realized that it calmed them; So she created one for whenever she gets stressed, mad, sad or whatever. It helped her when she was in need of it and that also shows how amazingly her mind works and puts two and two together.

  14. The movie "Temple Grandin" gave me a better understanding of how savant and autism link together. In the movie Temple has the ability to look at things one time and know everything about it. She can work things out in her mind and not have to test out her experiment to see if it works because she knows it will. When it came to senses she was sensitive to touch, sight and sound. Temple would tone people out when they were trying to talk to her sometimes and focus on a little thing like a pen clicking. Everytime she goes through a door she can literally picture and remind herself of all the doors she has been through since she has been alive. When she went off to college her French professor asked her to recite some French and she looked at it once and said everything that was on the 2 pages perfectly. Even though this attribute is amazing, having autism caused her to struggle with having a close relationship with her mom. She only felt comfort with that machine that made her feel safe. Temple had a hard time with socializing. She would talk to people but she had a hard time engaging in a conversation with them. Her mom never gave up on her and pushed her to try to get some things accomplished with having this disability. With her mom's help she began talking at age 4. Temple never knew how to respond to people's expressions. When Temple would explain her blueprint for the cow experiment she would explain every little detail and she already knew it would work. In this invention she saved over half a million dollars for the slaughter house. She never had physical interaction with people until the day her favorite teacher had passed away. She hugged her mom for the first time in her life.
This movie opened my eyes more and made me realize how blessed I am. I know a lot of people say that but once you watch someone go through all of these problems, it hits you hard. We take so much for granted these days. People like Temple have that special ability to learn things in a certain subject faster than us but they can't socialize, focus in a conversation or even have physical interactions with people.

  15. Short and simple-
In the movie Temple Grandin is an autistic savant. You can tell autism affected her life because she is extremely sensitive to things. For example, when she first got to the house on the ranch she went in her room and immediately noticed every little sound. She noticed the blades of the fan on the ceiling and the bubbles in the fish tank.
Another way you can tell autism affected her life is threw her thinking. She really thinks outside of the box. The entrance gate of the ranch had a problem that a regular human back then may not have thought about. she fixed the gate to where you don't have to get all the way out the car to open it.
The next way is threw her relationships. She really didn't have close relationships with people because it was hard for her to engage in conversation with people in person. She couldn't directly look at people while they were talking.
The next way is threw physical interaction because she could not take it when people touch her. She didn't even hug her mom until late in her life.
The last way autism affected her life is that it left her mom sad. At the beginning of the movie Temple's mom was talking to the doctor about Temple's autism. She told him that she was very non responsive and wouldn't respond to her when she called her name. It really frustrated her that her own daughter would not respond to her.

  16. Temple Grandin is an autistic savant. Temple's senses are so much more stronger than ours. Things such as a fan or fish tank really bother Temple. She can't concentrate on anything and take notice of the sounds. Temple is very socially awkward and the one thing she is passionate about is Science. She has an amazing photographic memory. For example, she could look at a door and can visualize all the measurements and calculate them in her head. Also, Temple can briefly looked at a passage in her book and can quote it perfectly. Temples relationships, like other autistic savants, are not affectionate like normal relationships. They don't like to be touched and freak out when they do. Temple knows who her mom is but she doesn't even want to be touched or hugged by her. Also, when her professor died, Temple showed no sign of pain. Temple's physical interactions are very strange. She doesn't like to make eye contact and she quickly shouts "Hi, my name is Temple" while shaking a persons hand. In the end, even though Temple is autistic, she is successful and makes everyone, including her mom proud.

  17. Temple’s autism affected her life in many ways. It affected her senses because all sounds, including sounds that are quiet and normally tuned out by humans, were very loud and distracting to her. Her autism affected her thinking positively. She saw everything mathematically, which gave her the ability to fix and create things. It also affected her relationships. At first, she wasn’t able to form relationships. For example, she and her first roommate never became friends. However, by the end of the movie, she was forming relationships with people, like her new roommate. Autism affected Temple’s physical interactions as well. She wouldn’t even hug her mom until the end of the movie, and even then it wasn’t even really a hug. Adding on to that, she really didn’t have a relationship with her parents. She showed no sign of love for her mother. But, at the end of her graduation speech, she thanked her mother for helping her get to where she was, which showed that she was capable of loving her mom.

  18. The movie "Temple Grandin" thoroughly displayed the case of autism, more specifically savant syndrome. Throughout the movie we notice that her condition starts to affect her senses, thinking, relationships, physical reactions and her relationship with her mother. The first thing i really noticed was that she was very sensitive, more specifically to light. For example if she is feeling uncomfortable and doesn't know what to do she would use self stimulation to clam herself down. Also she couldn't couldn't give normal hugs to people because it caused her to become uncomfortable. She does not like loud noises and light. Her way of thinking is very different from one of a person without autism. In the movie she hear fish tank noises and the fan propelling, usually people cannot decipher these noises. Her thinking allows her to see every little thing in detail. She also tends to be socially awkward when it comes to relationships. She could what she thought biut it was hard to actually communicate for her. Temple couldn't really have a relationship with anyone but her cattle because of this lack of communication. She didn't like hugging her mother and didn't like most of the things that she wanted to do. But at the end she has managed to overcome her autism and use her savants for the good of the earth.

  19. In the movie Temple's autism affected her relationships. One main relationship was with her mom. Her mom always wanted to give her a hug and be there for her but Temples autism held her back from being touched by people. Her disease affected her thinking severely. her savant made it where Temple analyzed everything and noticed the tiniest details of everything. She was very smart because of her savant syndrom. Her physical interactions, because of her autism, were different. Her interactions with new people were odd in the fact that she would yell and not make eye contact with them when she spoke and she often repeated herself. Temples mom was affected heavily on her autism. In the beginning of the movie the doctor told her mom that it was the parents fault for her disease. She took it to heart and tried everything to get her daughter back. Yet in the end temple came to realize how much her mom loved her and she loved her mom back and many others and showed emotions for the first time during her graduation speech.

  20. Temple Grandin is an autistic savant. In the movie her senses become so sensitive due to the fact of her autism. Anything at any moment in time could set her off into an uproar or make her feel uncomfortable. For instance in the movie she said when a bunch of different people talk to her at one time it makes her uncomfortable and could possibly set her off. This is a common trait for all who suffer from autism. Because Temple is a savant she has a special talent that makes her thinking so complex. Normal everyday things the average person would see, Temple would see so much more to it. Her brain had the ability to spot out every little detail in a design and she was able to process things in her head without even trying them out. Developing relationships for Temple was a struggle at an early age. She didnt began to speak until the age of four so she didnt have great communication skills. She often seemed awkward to most people because of the way she spoke and things she did to cope with her autism. Temple didnt really show to many acts of physical interaction throughout the movie with people but she did create things to physically interact with that helped her. For example when she saw how cattle calmed themselves she created a similar device to calm herself when she physically interacted with it. Temple didnt even really have a relationship with her mom on an emotional level. She never hugged or told her mom she loved her until later on in life when temple became an adult. This is commom for people with autism.

  21. Temple Grandin is a woman with Autism and savant sydrome. She has struggled with social interaction and proper communication her whole life and has now gone off to college. Her Autism affected her in many ways including senses, thinking, relationships, physical interactions, and her mother. Throughout the movie her senses were affected greatly. She heard every little noise very clearly and in her head those noises were very loud. She could hear everyone talking out loud all at once. When there was a lot of noise she panicked and had to try to make herself feel comfortable. Her senses also affected the way she thought. Temple could see something and have a picture of it perfectly in her mind. She could look at something and remember everything about it just by seeing it. Her thinking was most greatly affected in how she thought on the farm. Temple helped revolutionize the dipping system for washing cows off and developed a new and more humane way a slaughtering the cows. Her autism affected her relationships also. Temple didn't have hardly any friends, mainly because she couldn't hold a conversation with anyone unless it was about cows. Her mother was also affected significantly. It was very hard for her mom to watch her grow up and not even be able to have a conversation with her. Temple also showed no affection to her mother. She never hugged or said I love you to her. When Temple had a panic attack her mom felt very pad for her. Temple ended up almost over coming autism and speaking about it to a huge crowd and now half of the dipping systems for cows are based off of her design.

  22. Temple Grandin is autistic and has savant syndrome. First, her sense of hearing is higher than a normal person should have. When she entered her room for the first time the air conditioner and the fan was exceptionally loud to her. When she thought it was higher than anyone else could think like. When people asked her how she knew her machines would work she told them that she tested it in her head hundreds of times. When they tried the machine it worked just like she said it would. She had special relationships with different people. For example her high school science teacher. She was attached to him in a way that he showed her more than anyone else has in her life. Autistic people have a disability in public interaction. When Temple meets a new person she is really awkward and doesn't make eye contact. She says "Hi I'm Temple Grandin it's nice to meet you" then goes on with what she was doing without a response from that person she just met. With her mom she showed no emotions toward her mainly because she didn't know or understand emotions. Later on when Temple is grown up she hugs her mom at the funeral of her favorite professor in school. That shows the beginning of a personal relationship between herself and her mother.

  24. Temple Grandin is an autistic savant. This disability makes life extremely hard for her. For example, little things such as a fan or a light, or a fish tank like in the movie really strikes Temple's attention. Her senses are extremely strong, unlike ours. Also, when Temple thinks, she see's things differently than us. She sees them at their exact angle, and how they work. In the movie, she looks at the gate of the ranch and she sees the degree of the angle, and specific examples when we would just see a gate. Being an autistic savant makes relationships with people very difficult. For example, with her mother. It's hard for her to show her emotions and how she feels about things. She isn't very affectionate. In the movie, she goes into hug her mother for the first time and it's a very big deal because she isn't use to doing that. It's hard for her to express her feelings. This syndrome makes it hard for her mother to help her. Temple pushes away help and doesn't try to have a very good relationship with her mother because she doesn't know how. Temple ends up overcoming all these obstacles and becomes very successful.

  25. Temple Grandin is an autistic savant. She can build things by just looking at it one time. With her savant gift, she can’t really think while a lot is going on around her. The sounds that we don’t decry to be uncomfortable, basically send her into frenzy. She also can’t tell the difference in emotions on a person’s face. If you were angry and upset at her, she would probably smile at you, not knowing your true emotions. She begins to get rowdy and scared and uncomfortable. In the movie, Temple uses her savant skill to build a squeeze machine. A squeeze machine is use to calm down cattle when they get afraid and/or scared. She built it at her college dormitory, after being scared to death while walking down the halls and through the automatic doors of the lunch room. Temple’s relationships where very interesting, too. In the movie she scared away her first roommate, so the college gave her a new roommate; a blind one. She couldn’t quite grasp the fact that the blind girl could not see. Temple would put her foot in her mouth, while asking if she wanted to watch a television program. Physical interactions for Temple were always difficult. In the movie, you could get a sense of that Temple didn’t like physical interaction. When she would do good, her mother would reach in for a hug; however Temple would end up shying away from her mother’s affection. It wasn’t even just for good things. In the movie, Temple’s science professor passed away. At the funeral, Temple’s mother leaned in to give her a hug before she left. Temple ended up just giving her mother a tap on the back, and went on her way. It was hard for being Temple’s parent; having to teach her things that another child would eventually pick up on their own. Her mother refused to give up on her child, though. She would spend hours trying to teach Temple different sounds and words, and then trying to teach her right from wrong.
This movie defiantly changed my perspective on autism. Before I saw it I thought it was something old people got when their body would stop functioning correctly. Also it makes me feel more thankful for the “regular” life I live. Never take thing small things for granted.

  26. Temple Gardin has autism. She is an autistic savant. In the movie she recacts to things that are not normally what people who react at. Like when she had come in from outside and saw that her sign to her bedroom door was gone and she heard the fan, she got really scared and ran out. Its partly beacuse her senses like hearing and seeing other things that people really can't notice, but she does. She is really smart like how she builds a safe comfort zone for herself at college and how she makes the gate at her aunts house lift up for only a certain amount of seconds. When she introduces herself it is kind of akward because she is socially akward and kind of gets nervous. Her realontionship with her mom was interesting because she didn't really show her much affection and probablly just didn't know how to show it. But her mother was there to keep helping her acomplish new things like going to college which made her more thankfull and aknowledge her mother. Then in return she was successfull.
